On our last Online Family Brunch, we all got inspired by the creative & social impact of Fashion Gren Hub!

event

On our November gathering, we had on the Hub Spotlight Annick telling us all about the incredible work they do at the FASHION GREEN HUB, which started in Roubaix, France: a Textile and pioneering Zero Waste City.

The Fashion Green Hub is an association of fashion and textile companies committed to a rapid sustainable transition. Since its creation at the end of 2015, it has produced collective solutions for more sustainable, ethical, local and innovative fashion, creating jobs in the regions and in line with the European Union’s decarbonization objective.
Today it brings together 530 members located throughout France, from large companies, to designers, schools, researchers, manufacturers, and start-ups: basically, the entire value chain!

They run two innovation + sustainability + inclusion labs in Roubaix (North of France) and Paris, what they call the PLATEAU FERTILE: a circular and solidarity fashion factory. Companies can meet there to train, create projects, collaborate within working groups, attend numerous events and meetings.
Project leaders can also source help from their training for unemployed people in upcycling and sewing.

Besides all this, they are also known for their B2B events: FASHION GREEN DAYS and FASHION TECH DAYS, and many research groups and schools programmes.

Since 2015, the association has organized two national events several times a year, in Roubaix, Lyon, Paris and Nantes: Fashion Green Days, the national circular fashion forum and Fashion Tech Days, the first meeting forum on sustainable innovation.

On our meeting, other members had the opportunity to engage in a lively discussion and get insightful information from experienced Annick! Thank you again for sharing your story.
